LETTA Trust’s values, of innovation, aspiration, generosity and equality, underpin how they work together and support their decision-making. LETTA offers both fee paying and salaried apprenticeship courses for the 3-7 and 5-11 age phases. They also offer a SEND specialism for all age phases, including 7-14, and a maths specialism.
Facilitators leading centre-based training are selected for their subject knowledge and excellent level of engagement with trainees. They include well known writers, researchers and consultants. The content is delivered through a combination of face-to-face training, live webinars, school visits, online study tasks, projects and school-based practice in four settings.
They can offer trainees the opportunity to be creative and innovative. LETTA include a science residential and links with local theatres, arts organisations and museums. Trainees’ wellbeing is important to them, so they offer a varied package of support from informal to formal specialist help and advice. They also have a mentor training programme which supports mentors in their role.
Alongside centre-based training, trainees’ study for their PGCE with 60 Masters credits. This is led by tutors from Sheffield Hallam University (SHU).
